Mas Mateu is a superb unique eighteenth-century Catalan farmhouse set in 63 acres of forests, pastures, meadows and private gardens.

Mas Mateu retains all the splendor and the style of the elegant mansions of the era and at the same time offers the latest modern amenities. The property can accommodate up to 20 people, with additional capacity for staff, which makes it an ideal private family getaway, a special honeymoon or an informal party.

The main facade is dominated by a majestic sundial and a arched front door leads to a series of cozy rooms, with magnificent views over the region, including the snowcapped Pyrenees in winter, the flowering of natural park "Les Gavarres" in spring or the magnificent sunsets over the plains in summer and autumn. The beautiful alabaster walls frame the majestic fireplace large living room, making it an ideal place to curl up with your favorite book.

There are ten suites in the house, each one is unique and is decorated in delicate Catalan shades, complemented by carpets of local origin, unique family heirlooms, and individual fireplaces. Some suites have private terraces with spectacular views over tthe Baix Empordà.
